I used 44 license plates to create this tribute to Cheap Trick, an American rock band from Rockford, Illinois that started in 1974. As of 2018, this band is still out touring, and just like license plates in general, they are still traveling the country. I chose them because they’re one of the hardest working bands in America. I featured two of their greatest hits — I Want You to Want Me and Surrender — off their best-selling Live at Budokan album.
