John Mellencamp of Indiana has probably logged as many miles as the 29 license plates I used to create this license plate guitar. Mellencamp is a true American rocker, which is why this license plate guitar has such a patriotic look. A lot of his songs reflect what’s good about this country.

I incorporated the license plate mosaic because I wanted to add reflection to Mellencamp’s portrait, which appears in the center hole. A Michigan C can be found in his ROCKIN in the USA hit song.
