Prince was an easy pick for representing Minnesota. So many people have requested this piece at my art shows. When it came to creating the piece, I had a lot to chose from. I used 35 license plates to create this purple telecaster in recognition of his original guitar choice, and his Purple Rain Movie. White doves fly across the piece to symbolize the song, When Doves Cry. i wanted to prominently feature his 1999 song because it’s one of his most famous hits.
