I was honored to be commissioned to create this retirement gift for the chairman of the Independent Community Bankers of America. The challenge was for the piece to show all the states the employee represented. See if you can find them: Nebraska, Tennessee, Alabama, Ohio, Colorado, California, and Wisconsin. That might be a record for me. The banking business represents the farming industry, which is why I featured the farm and covered wagon on the front. I played up the Americana style using the flag motif. The employee's name is prominently displayed on the front of the piece, and their company logo is featured in the center hole.
